Last week was a rough one for me. I have a crummy flare up that doesn’t seem to want to truly take a hike. I am such a stubborn one though that taking rest days is hard. I have two days a week that I do rest, and if I have to do more than that, it’s not easy. Sort of have to force myself NOT to workout in some way. Despite my crazy week, I managed to get in my 5 days of workouts.
Sunday, June 3rd – With Orlando Galloway kick-off the day before, I ran on Sunday morning with a couple of friends. We ran 6 miles on the Seminole-Weikva Trail. Wore my Brilliant Reflective shirt for the first time. Love their reflective strips! Use BIBRAVE18 on their website to get buy one, get one!
Monday, June 4th – Bike workout at the gym before work. Felt tired, but pushed myself to get the workout done.
Tuesday, June 5th – Run itself was great, first official Tuesday run of the new season. Felt exhausted later, but not for a second do I regret running.
Wednesday, June 6th – REST DAY.
Thursday, June 7th – Track Thursday. 400s were on the schedule, but I ended up taking it pretty easy pace-wise. Just glad to get in some kind of run for the day.
Friday, June 8th – REST DAY.
Saturday, June 9th – First Saturday run of the new training season. We have quite a bit group of runners! My group that I co-lead is called, Sole Warriors. We took the group out for an initial 3 miles then some of us headed back out to get in a 10k distance. Good start to the 2018/2019 training season!
How were your workouts last week? Anyone run a race?
