Last week, I took it a bit easier workout-wise. I took an extra day off, which I felt my body really needed. I’m not the best at taking more than two rest days (heck, I would love to go back to 6 days of working out), but it’s important I rest when I need to. I mean, they do say rest is a part of the program. 🙂
Sunday, June 24th – REST DAY. After Saturday morning’s run, then working the Generation UCAN booth at the Track Shack mini-expo for the training groups, rest was needed. Woke up feeling extra exhausted, so listened to my body and took a rest day.
Monday, June 25th – Cross-training at the gym. Got in just over 7 miles on the bike.
Tuesday, June 26th – Florida hill repeat run with my group. Quite a warm morning, but great run.
Wednesday, June 27th – REST DAY.
Thursday, June 28th – Easy-paced run on the track. So, not a real speed workout in the slightest, just used 30:30s and got in 2.5 miles, then after half mile with the warm up and cool down laps of walking.
Friday, June 29th – REST DAY.
Saturday, June 30th – Saturday morning 6-miler with my group. Bit faster paced run than planned, but I felt pretty good. Just really hot and sweaty.
