Weight Loss Results From Hard Work

I am both shocked and disturbed about a story I read online today. A woman, desperate to lose weight, bought a tapeworm online and then swallowed it! Seriously? Are folks THAT desperate to drop weight that they will risk their life?

Sure, people have tried all sorts of things through the years in hopes of dropping extra pounds, but the bottom line is, you have to work for it. Losing weight is NOT an overnight or easy thing to do. You have to get up each day with determination to eat right and exercise. It’s about calories in, calories out, period.

I speak from experience, so I know how difficult it is to lose weight. Also of note, maintaining that weight loss is just as difficult, if not more so. I struggle on and off all the time with my diet and working out. It’s about a lifestyle change. A healthy way of living doesn’t end once the last pound is shed. In fact, it’s really only the beginning. I always remember the saying, “nothing worth doing is easy.”

Please, if you want to lose weight, do it the right way. Join an online or local weight loss group for support along your journey. You don’t have to do it alone and you shouldn’t. Support is a big part of any great success.
