Where did August go? This month seems to have gone by faster than previous months to me. This was the last full week of the month, and it ended well. Got in all of my scheduled workouts, and even took my exam for the RRCA Coaching Certification. It was a hard one, and took me 3 1/2 hours to complete. More on that in another blog post. 🙂
Sunday, August 23rd – Bike workout at home. Was able to get in just over 11 miles while I watched one of my favorite shows, Law & Order: SVU.
Monday, August 24th – Another 11 mile bike workout done before I had to log into work.
Tuesday, August 25th – Run day. This was a rough morning, as the humidity was thick. Goal was race pace, but with the weather conditions, I knew that was not going to happen. Was just glad to get in negative splits.
Wednesday, August 26th – REST DAY.
Thursday, August 27th – Track Thursday. Two miles of 800s with a mile of walking between my warm up and cool down. My pace was pretty good, happy with this one.
Friday, August 28th – REST DAY.
Saturday, August 29th – Long run with my group for 8 miles. Another hot, humid morning, and it was a bit of a struggle at times. Felt a bit better in the latter miles.
