Disclaimer: I was invited to experience what the The Spa at Hyatt Regency Orlando had to offer as a member of the Central Florida Lady Bloggers. They provided services to us at no cost. No other compensation was received. All opinions stated are as always my own.
At the end of September, the Central Florida Lady Bloggers were invited to spend the day at Hyatt Regency Orlando’s The Spa. This opportunity came at such a great time for me, as it was right after my 23 mile marathon training run, and before my final 26 mile run. The thought of getting pampered at a day spa sounded just amazing to me.
I have to admit that I had never had a real massage before this day. I was hoping to get my first-ever massage and I was fortunate to get just that. The spa offered the group a few different spa options in addition to the massage including facials, pedicures, and manicures. The Spa offers a great selection of services as well as salon services.
The morning started out with an amazing yoga session with Anne who was so great. She lead us through one of the best yoga classes I had ever experienced. She teaches all levels and mentioned how a good deal of the guests who take the yoga class have little or no experience. Outside of the studio is a fully-equipped weight room, spinning studio, core and stretching room as well as a cardio studio. The facility also offers a junior Olympic-size lap pool, terrace pool and a regulation tennis court. The locker rooms have a steam room, Jacuzzi and showers.
My massage was scheduled a bit after the yoga classed concluded. I was provided a robe and sandals to wear as I waited. Once it was my turn, I was escorted into the massage room and Robyn, my massage therapist gave me a wonderful 50 minute relaxation massage. She really got into some spots that I could tell needed attention. I came to find out that she was also a runner, so we had some talk about local races and how she was supposed to run her first half marathon in January. It definitely made me more comfortable to get my first massage from a fellow runner. She just made me feel comfortable the entire time.
After my massage was over, I put on my bathing suit and headed out to meet the other ladies at the pool. The hotel had provided us a private cabana for the afternoon. It was quite beautiful to be poolside at the beautiful resort. I enjoyed a salad and fresh fruit from their restaurant, Coconuts Poolside Bar & Grill. Our cabana hostess, Erica was extremely awesome, being able to help with dietary questions I had about the menu and she was super attentive to the group.
It was a wonderful morning and afternoon spent at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Spa. I can’t recommend this experience more. Locals, this is such a great way to spend part of a weekend getting pampered and just relaxing by the pool. A weekend with some of your best girlfriends maybe? The Spa has package offerings as well, so you can find something that works well for you. If you book spa services, as a guest you are able to enjoy complimentary use of the relaxation lounge, steam room, Jacuzzi and outdoor pools.
