It’s that time again, time for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, that is! As a Orlando local, it’s fun getting the opportunity to see runner friends from all over come down to run this big race weekend in my backyard.
This year, I’m pacing the WDW Half Marathon on Saturday. I will be pacing the 3:15 finish time, which I love being able to do. Pacing a runDisney race is a lot of fun, as I get the chance to not only run the race, but help other runners achieve their race goal.
I am especially looking forward to this year’s half marathon, as last year’s got cancelled due to bad weather. This time around, the weather isn’t expected to be rainy, but it is going to be a cold one! Temps are predicted to be 36 at 5am with a real feel of 32 degrees! Yicks! This Florida girl is gonna be cold! 🙂

I’m having flashbacks to the 2013 26.2 with Donna Marathon where it was in the 30s with a wind chill in the 20s. I was sooo cold! And, the 2014 JG 13.1 was pretty chilly at the start as well. I’m not at my best in those sorts of temps, and prefer it to be in the 60s.
Either way, I am going into the race with lots of positive thoughts! I’m gonna make it fun, after all, it’s Disney!
Are you running this weekend at Walt Disney World?
Looking forward to hearing more about the weekend! Good luck & have fun!!
