Welcome to the May Ultimate Coffee Date! This link-up is brought to you by Deborah of Confessions of a Mother Runner and Coco of Got2Run4Me. Be sure to check out their websites and of course today’s virtual Ultimate Coffee Date posts!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you… I am looking at a couple places in Orlando today that I really want to move into. Both are efficiency-type places and within 20 minutes of where my running group meets. I am praying one of them works out and that I can stop having to look for a place to move into by June 1st. Any prayers and good thoughts are very welcome!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you… I also did something that scares me yesterday. I applied to be a part of the Team 261 Fearless for the NYC Marathon. Yes, I already have a bib, but this would allow me to be a part of an amazing team and to run for a cause. The fact that I would have to raise a couple thousand dollars does scare me, but I think that anything worth doing and working toward is scary. Doing this is a fearless move for me, and I believe so much in 261 Fearless and Kathrine Switzer, that it would be a blessing to be a part of something so great. I should know by the end of the month if I’m in.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you… I LOVE the sounds of my parakeet Toby singing. He is just the sweetest little guy. As I write this, he has been singing beautifully for the last couple of hours. Life just wouldn’t be the same without the awesomeness of animals and our loving pets.
What would you tell me if we were having coffee or your favorite beverage together?
Good luck with the apartment hunt- that is always stressful! I believe if it scares you then it is worth doing! You got this! Enjoy the road to the NYC marathon!
Apartment hunting must be so frustrating! I’m glad those days are behind me,but I remember them well! Good luck with the Team 261 endeavor…that is such a great cause!!
Running with the fearless group would be an amazing experience! Good luck with the apartment hunting this weekend. thanks for joining us for coffee today always great to catch up
Oh wow, sounds like exciting stuff happening in your world! Good luck with that apartment and with the 261 Fearless group. I have no doubt that you can inspire enough people to help you meet that goal!
Thanks Deborah, love the coffee dates!
I think the wait to know if I’m on the team is going to drive me crazy though. LOL!
Appreciate the kind words, Teresa! Praying all works out with the 261 Fearless team and a new place!
For sure, looking for a new place to live and then having to move isn’t fun LOL! Thanks so much, Kimberly, I believe I’m on the right track, just have to get through some bumps in the road. 🙂
For sure, I agree about doing things than scare you. Appreciate you stopping by, Mary Beth!
Good luck with the apartment hunt and all the best with your NYCM training. Cannot believe it’s already time to fire up for fall marathons. Being on the 261 Fearless team would be amazing!
Good luck finding the perfect apartment! I’m sure it will be much nicer being closer to your running friends. Sending positive thoughts your way!
Good luck with the apartment hunt – love that being close to your running group is a factor. Moving can be a pain but hopefully it will work out for the best!
Sending lots of good thoughts your way–I hateeee moving, so I hope you get one of those spots and don’t have to worry about it anymore! I hope you get into the Team 261 Fearless team too!
Definitely agreed with you on animals/pets. They bring so much joy to my life!
Good luck on finding the right place! And I totally agree about our companion animals. I’ve never had birds, although I think it would be fun — but not with cats who were hunters (they brought me in enough birds!).
I just don’t have enough friends or family to fundraise!
I’m actually starting Kathrine Switzer’s bio for this month’s book review! With all the Boston Marathon hype, I’m anxious to read it.
