Hey, how are ya? I’m doing a lot better than I was last week. I feel so blessed that things are beginning to look upward for this girl. Now that I’m getting back into the swing of things, you will see more blog posts again, lots that I need to tell you about! I’ve got race reviews to catch up on, product reviews and more!
As I type this, it’s in the evening (as in after 8pm) and I’ve worked out TWICE today. That’s right, twice. I got up this morning and did a 5k run with some of my Galloway girls. Boy was it hot out! The Florida humidity has already hit and it looks like we’re going to have another brutally hot summer. Makes me realize that not having to train for a marathon this year is a positive because of the weather conditions. 🙂
It was a long workday (feeling the effects of the daylight savings time change), but I got myself to get back out the door after work and into the gym. It helped that the pre-workout supplement I ordered arrived this afternoon. I’ve got some work to do in getting back to that stronger person that I was last year when I was training for NYC. I lost 8lbs between March and May then, and I know I can do it again. This time, I don’t want it to be a yo-yo cycle. With no marathons on the schedule in 2016, I need to maintain my weight once I hit my goal again. Marathon training just makes me so hungry. Though, I kept it all off until after I ran the race, so I guess it was too much indulging in holiday cookies and sweets.
The facebook group I created last year is back in action to help me stay accountable and also to help anyone who also needs help. Whether you are working to drop a few pounds, keep your workouts going, or drink enough water each day, it’s all about helping one another. If you would like to join the private group on facebook, here’s the link. Right now, there’s not many of us, and anything you post isn’t shared anywhere else. Having a support group is so important when you have health and fitness goals, and I hope I can also help others while I continue my own journey.
