7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
Psalm 31:14
This morning, I woke up at 4am to get ready to run with my Galloway group. I ate a Vega Endurance Bar and got dressed. I was feeling okay, excited to run again, since I hadn’t since Tuesday morning. When I can’t run, I really miss it, but I knew taking a few days off was likely in my best interest.
We started running at 5am and I was feeling good. I had some sciatica going for the first mile or so, but thankfully, that calmed down. I tried to take it easy, not pushing too hard in order to allow my body not to get too tense. I had some great conversations with my fellow runners and for me, that’s priceless. A great run with my group, people I’m becoming friends with makes me happy.
There really isn’t anything like a good run, especially a group run. Running has become a form of therapy for me and it’s such an awesome feeling that I can only get from a great workout.
Great job on your run this morning! You’re an early morning runner like me! 🙂
Thanks! Yeah, it’s best to run earlier at least this time of the year.
