Thankful Thursday: Short week, daylight savings time & chip love

It always seems that the week flies by when I’m writing this post. Of course, a good deal has happened since this time last week. Heck, I ran another half marathon! 🙂

I’m thankful for running. Yes, this will always be a big one in the thankful department. I may not always LOVE it, but I do really like it (bridges and hills are in the meh category). I thank God that He helped me through Sunday’s race as well as my fellow Galloway runners.

I’m thankful that my family in NY is safe. Hurricane Sandy caused massive damage, but I’m thankful that family and the friends I have up there are all okay. Physical damage can be fixed, but lives cannot be restored. I also pray for those who lost loved ones in the storm.

I’m thankful for Pop Chips! I just tried the new chili limon torilla chips and they are sooo great! I want to get stock in them! It is now officially my other favorite chip. I am glad they are vegan (well, at least two flavors are). Yay for chip goodness!

I’m thankful for short weeks. Ah yes, I was off on Monday, then I’ve got a half day tomorrow at work since I’m planning on doing the First Friday Ride with the local bike group. Short work weeks are definitely a plus.

I’m thankful for daylight savings time. We get back an hour on Sunday! I much prefer gaining an hour than when we lose one. I mean, hey, that’s an extra hour I can sleep before I have to be up for church. 🙂
