Thankful Thursday: Running and my Angel

It’s that time again (do I always say this, hmmm, will check into that)! Even though Thankful Things Thursday can drive me a bit crazy with thinking about just what I am thankful for, I think it’s a good thing. It’s good to think about the good things in life, the things you are grateful for. Even when times are tough, there are shining moments and goodness hidden in there.

I’m thankful for my running group. I just ran track this morning with some of them and they are great at keeping me moving and motivated. We ran at 5am, so you really do need that from your fellow runners. Dark and early running is just now going to be a part of my life on a regular basis (at least 1-2 days a week), I suppose I should get used to it. As long as I have my group, I’ll be okay. 🙂

This isn’t the track we run on…I sort of borrowed this pic. Need to take some pics.

I’m thankful for Vega. Yes, I know I wrote a blog post about my contest win, but I’m still excited about it. The Pre-Workout Energizer is definitely my favorite after the Protein Powder. I’ve been using it before I run this week and it does make a difference. Great stuff.

Vega Sport Protein goodness in my cabinet.

I’m thankful that I was able to get credit. I couldn’t have gotten the new tires my car was in need of without credit. It’s still a lot of money, but at least now I’ve got 6 months to pay it off before the interest hits. Thank goodness for interest-free!

I’m thankful for Angel. My sweet little white and blue parakeet sings to me everyday and for that, I’m thankful. She makes me smile when I hear her sweet voice. Indy loves her too, because he’s always going over to her side and watching her lovingly. My birds are just awesome.

I’m thankful for steel cut oats. I finally made some on Sunday night and love them. I made four days worth after scouring the internet for info on how to make it the night before and such. I believe it fills me up more than the quick oats for sure. I’ll be making it a regular part of my oatmeal breakfast fun from now on.

I’m thankful for annual raises. Hey, 3.5% is good stuff! Apparently, it’s at the top of what the company gives, so I’m happy with that. It helped me cross into the next dollar amount at least. Anything more is a positive in my book.

I feel blessed

I’m thankful that I can run. This sounds so simple, but it isn’t to me. I thank God each and every day that my back stays healthy and that I can continue to run. Running means a lot to me and I feel blessed to be able to enjoy it again. I feel blessed that He watches over me when I run and bike. Thank you, God for your many blessings.

What about you? What are you thankful for this week?
Please feel free to leave a comment and let me and everyone know!
