Thankful Thursday: Medication, Church & Castle

I missed last week’s Thankful Things Thursday post, so I want to ensure I get right back on the bandwagon with this. This has been a good week overall for me and I feel blessed.

I’m thankful for medication. I’m finally beginning to feel like myself again and not exhausted all day long since starting the synthroid on Sunday. I know it’s just the start of the treatment, but it’s definitely helping me already. I look forward to a couple of more weeks down the line when I should be feeling even more like my usual self and have my energy stable.

I’m thankful for my new church. I’m still new to this church in my neighborhood, but so far I’m enjoying it. The pastor has some great sermons (not to mention that he looks kinda like Michael Chiklis) and I can see myself getting involved in this church. I hope I can find my place there soon.

I’m thankful for my Kindle. We have “rekindled” our relationship this week (get it, rekindled? Ha yeah, kinda lame, but hey, funny too). I’m currently reading a borrowed e-book from Overdrive (via the library). I have been a bit lax in reading books with it lately and am happy to be taking it along with me everyday again.

I’m thankful that Castle is back. Okay, so maybe it’s silly to be thankful for a TV show, but hey, it’s a great show. I love the chemistry between Castle and Beckett, not to mention the fact that it’s about a writer hanging out with cops. Too friggin cool.

I’m thankful that Fall is here. Yes, it’s pretty much not really Fall here in Florida, yet. But hey, I’m optimistic and happy for even a bit cooler weather. And, work is decorated a plenty with leaves. If we can’t have real, actual colorful leaves in Florida, we buy fake ones.

I’m thankful for granola. I may have found a new snack love. Problem is, I have to be careful…the stuff is soooo addictive! Must divvy up into snack bags otherwise a whole bag could disappear.

I’m thankful for good runs. After having a rough 12-miler on Saturday, I was happy to have a good weekday run on Tuesday morning. Was a great pick-me-up, made me feel good.

What are you thankful for this week? Post your “thankful things” in the comments, I’d love to hear them!
