Thankful Thursday: Family, New Schedule & Florida Winter

Wow, I can hardly believe that Christmas is just days away! I don’t feel really ready for it, but I suppose that’s how it is for a lot of folks. I’ve got a bit of shopping to finish up this weekend, then it’s baking fun! Looking forward to spending Christmas day with my family.

Speaking of family, I haven’t said anything on the blog about the Sandy Hook tragedy. To be honest, I don’t know what to say other than it’s horrible and these families are in my prayers. It’s yet another unimaginable event that should not have happened. I feel for all those affected by it.

I’m thankful for Florida winter weather. This is the first year I think I’ve really appreciated that we have warmer winter’s here. I like cooler weather, but I’m pretty happy with temps in the 60s for the most part.

I’m thankful for time with friends/family. On Sunday, I spent some time with my mom and friend as we walked around Celebration near Walt Disney World. We chatted and enjoyed the “winter wonderland” the town has to offer this time of year. It’s always great to spend time with those I love.

I’m thankful for for my new schedule. I finally got approved for an earlier schedule! As of January 14th, I’ll be off by 5:30pm! This is awesome and I can’t wait.

What are you thankful for this week?

  1. I’ve never been to Celebration to see their Winter land. I bet its pretty. Also, I’m thankful that Central Florida will finally see some Christmas like weather this weekend. Ya know, if the world doesn’t end first. 😉
