Thankful Thursday 11/19

thankful01b

Happy Thursday! It’s a double-post kinda day! So far, it’s been a great week overall (less for my sinus issues). On that front, I am feeling somewhat better. The headaches have calmed mostly and I remain positive about finally kicking the infection. I’ve added in saline spray a number of times a day and that has been helping. Praying this third round is a charm! So, onto the things that I am thankful for this week…

I’m thankful for great runs. I had the best run I’ve had in quite some time on Tuesday morning. My pace was a bit faster and the run actually felt almost easy-going. After just over 4 miles, I started to think that I could keep running! Love that feeling so much!

I’m thankful for surprise packages. Receiving an unexpected package from my friends at Vega yesterday was awesome. as most of you know, I LOVE Vega and am fortunate to be able to work with them as a blogger. I use their products daily (breakfast smoothies as well as workout products). I can’t wait to share all about the reformulated Vega Sport protein soon!

I’m thankful for great blogger friends. I’ve been really feeling the love lately in the blog community and it feels so good. I also love getting to know some of my fellow bloggers better through the blog hop I’ve been on. So many great bloggers who love some of the same things that I do. I love how the internet can bring us closer to people that we might not otherwise know through blogs and social media connections.

I’m thankful for runner friends. Or even local friends in general! A fellow Orlando Galloway friend is taking me with her to The Salt Room tonight and I am looking forward to the experience. I’ve heard great things about getting salt treatments, so I hope it can help clear out my sinus infection asap.

I’m thankful for extended family. When my mom and I were up in New York for the marathon, we were fortunate enough to stay with one of my cousins for most of the trip (spent one night in a hotel in NYC). The whole family is so incredibly sweet and were so great to us. Such a loving home, and we got to meet their whole family (including their backyard chickens). I miss them already. A trip back up to NY may have to happen sooner than I previously thought.

So, there’s some of the things that I’m thankful for this week. There are others that I haven’t listed I’m sure, as there’s ALWAYS something to be thankful for. I believe that, no matter what you may be going through or dealing with in a given day.

What about you, what are you thankful for this week?

  1. You are SO right! There is always something to be thankful for, and I think life means more when we remember that!
I am sorry about the sinus infections, but glad you are feeling better! I sometimes get those, and oh there is nothing more miserable than a terrible headache that lasts for weeks, so I totally feel your pain!
Awesome about the great run! Don’t you just love those days, there is nothing better to remind us why we love to run and love life than a great run!
I am so thankful for family, I have such a great one. They are there for me anytime I need them without question!

  2. Shannon I cannot wait to hear about your salt experience! There’s a place around here I’ve been wanting to check out. Sounds so cool and therapeutic. Today I’m thankful for a warm coat as its windy and freezing here!

  3. Hey Marcia! It was quite different, that’s for sure! I think it truly helped though! I am feeling more cleared out since I went last night.

  4. Yes, I do my best to always remember to be thankful no matter what. My headaches have thankfully faded or are gone (knock on wood) now. Hoping that I continue to feel good. A great run can make up for a lot!

  5. I miss running and your post definitely makes me miss it even more! I love that feeling that you mentioned (when you get to your goal and feel like you could run even longer). Surprise packages are so fun!
