I’m back at it with Huma Chia Energy Gel, this time with the newest flavors that have recently hit. Blueberries and Mangoes. Both are made with real food ingredients combined with finely-blended Chia seeds. Made with 100% real fruit and the gels are easy on the stomach. With Huma Gels, you don’t have to worry about an upset stomach or having to make an unplanned bathroom stop during your race or workout.
The first flavor I tried was the Blueberries during a local 10k race. I really love blueberries and was expecting this gel to be a good flavor. I wasn’t disappointed. It tasted just like I was having a fruit puree intermixed with chia seeds. If you love blueberries, this is a gel that you’ll like. And, I had zero issues with it during the rest of the race (the last 4-5 miles) as well as post-race.
Then later, I tried the Mango flavored gel during a six mile run with my group. I’m not a huge fan of the mango fruit, but this one also tastes great. Again, has that real fruit taste and no icky aftertaste involved what-so-ever. I may not enjoy mangoes very often, but I could see myself buying this flavor gel again alongside the other Huma Gel flavors.
Huma Chia Energy Gels have become one of my favorite gels to carry with me during a long run or a race. Not only are they natural (all ingredients are ones you can pronounce!), but my stomach thanks me for keeping it happy while I’m on my workout. Runners need fuel, but we don’t have to add in unnecessary artificial sugars and flavors into our system with that fuel. Huma Gel takes care of the fueling need without anything our bodies shouldn’t be consuming.
If you’d like to check out Huma Chia Energy Gels, you can order a sample pack online. It includes a mixed batch of 6 gel packets, or you can choose just one flavor that appeals to you. Either way, it’s a great deal on a gel that you will really enjoy carrying with you during your next endurance workout.
