If you’re like me, you are always on the lookout for great tasting, healthy snacks. Health Warrior Chia Bars fit that bill. They are good for you and taste amazing!
Health Warrior is a superfood company with the belief that better health builds a stronger society. That all starts with the right ingredients, which is at the core of all of their products, a superfood. It began with a little seed called Chia.
Chia is an amazing little fella. Ounce for ounce, the chia seed boatds more omega-3s than salmon, more protein than an egg, more calcium than milk, and more fiber than flax. Ancient Americans literally worshiped the chia for its source of strength. It has earned the name, “runner’s food’ because it has powered the Tarahumara Indians on their legendary long distance runs.
Health Warrior sent me two boxes of their chia bars. Chocolate Peanut Butter and Vanilla Almond. Both taste amazing, and are only 100 and 110 calories per bar and at least 3 grams of protein. The bars are 100% vegan, gluten free, soy free and dairy free which makes them a great option for so many people.
I have to admit, the Chocolate Peanut Butter is my favorite between the two, because who doesn’t love chocolate and peanut butter? I don’t know about you, but this runner girl loves that combination! The Vanilla Almond is a little treat that I have enjoyed when I felt I needed something sweet. I give both flavors two thumbs up.
Health Warrior has a number of other Chia Bar flavors: coconut, apple cinnamon, acai berry, banana nut, mango, and dark chocolate. I have tried most of the flavors less for the dark chocolate, which I have been on the lookout for. Definitely on my list to try!
Extra fun bonus with any purchase of Health Warrior chia bars, Marathon Training: The Coloring Book! Gives us adults a chance to color away some of those race-day jitters! You can buy a three bar sampler for just $4.99.
