A little bit will do ya… okay, yeah that’s not really how that whole thing went. But, hey I’m trying to fit it into the picture here. A little bit of Energybits will get you going on your next run or workout. They don’t look like much, little green tabs, but those little guys can pack a punch.
Energy Bits are tiny algae tabs so nutritionally dense, they eliminate fatigue and hunger instantly. They are a healthy, natural way to fuel your game or fire up your brain. There’s no caffeine, sugar, chemicals, gluten or soy, just pure, plant based nutrition, all for just ONE calorie per tab. Energybits have just one ingredient, organically grown NON GMO spirulina algae. It’s a super food endorsed by the United Nations and NASA as the most nutritionally dense food in the world. Spirulina has been a favorite of gold medalists for decades.
How does this help athletes like runners? With 64% of protein, the highest concentration of protein in the world, the protein in algae immediately converts to glucose since it’s already in amino acid form and the B vitamins covert the glucose into energy. The Omega 3 in Energybits improves focus and the high concentrations of nitric oxide and iron to prevent fatigue. Nitric oxide opens up blood vessels and the iron carries oxygen to the brain and muscles. And, the Energy Bits contain 40 vitamins/minerals as well as antioxidants and electrolytes that speed recovery.
I tried out the Energy Bits on a local 10k then again on a regular training run. Both times, I felt good on my runs. As if I had a little more kick to my steps. Yes, I know, it could be a whole mind thing, but that’s why I tried them on more than one run. You just can’t get a good feel for something trying it once. I think two or three times is the best way to truly see if there is a difference.
Now, I don’t know if I could do an entire race JUST using Energybits (though, I hear some do), but I can see myself adding it into my fueling strategy. It is good at the start of a run or workout and I think again when you are hitting a mid-race slump or bump in the road. Just a little pick-me-up to get you out of that funk. I especially love how they are just spirulina. I have used spirulina before and I know the great benefits of algae in our diet. Hoping to be able to incorporate bits into my training this season, as I’m looking to be as natural/raw as possible this season.
