Have you heard of Crazy Compression? They make the funnest compression wear out there. They are a small company out of the good old red, white and blue (aka the USA) who strives to create a graduated compression product like no other. Each sock is made of 15-20MMHG true graduated compression, they stay up where you put them, are soft and lightweight, and have arch support. Not to mention that they come in many cool designs to fit your individual personality or style.
When my pair of compression socks arrived, I was immediately thrilled that the Crazy Compression folks sent me my favorite color, pink. Lucky guess on their part, or a bit of research via this blog? We may never truly know. It doesn’t matter though, because they put a smile on this runner girl’s face. Right away, I noticed how soft they were. I couldn’t wait to try them out after my next long run.
That time came pretty soon, as this was during my final training weeks for the NYC Marathon. After running my last long run before taper, I put the socks on immediately after cleaning up from the run. They came right below my knees (where expected) and felt comfortable immediately. Oh, and they looked amazingly great too. I ended up wearing them the rest of that day and not wanting to take them off, they were that comfortable and just felt good.
On my flight out to New York for the marathon, I again wore my Crazy Compression socks. This time, it was with sneakers (previously I wore them solo or with recovery sandals if I went out) and they again felt great. I left them on for about 3-4 hours total (forgetting to take them off after arriving in New York) and felt comfortable the entire time.
Bottom line is, these compression socks are awesome. I love them, and they have quickly become one of my favorite pairs to reach for in my stash of recovery compression socks. I definitely plan on getting more pairs of them as they are also so much fun to wear. I love the variety of styles they offer. I’m hoping to try out a pair of their compression sleeves for my runs soon too, as I wear compression sleeves on runs, and compression socks for recovery since I prefer to wear my own socks running.
If you would like to check out the fun compression socks and sleeves that Crazy Compression has to offer, head on over to their website. Tell them GirlsGotSole sent ya. 🙂
