Are you a fan of BUFF? I sure am! From the moment I got the chance to try out my first BUFF through being a BibRave Pro, I knew they would become a part of my running must-haves in my gear.
When I had a chance to try out a new product from BUFF, the UV Arm Sleeves, I was interested. Being a runner in hot and humid Florida, I was curious how they would do.
The UV Arm Sleeves are styled for runners and other outdoor lovers. They are made of moisture-wicking fabric that is breathable and provides UPF 40+ protection. Made with stretch flatlock seaming which eliminates chafing. The fabric is antimicrobial, helping to control odors. Each sleeve has reflective elements adding visibility in low-light conditions. And, the upper is made of an elastic engineered with a silicone grip that aids in holding the sleeve comfortably in place.
I found the sleeves to be a bit too conforming for my liking. Was a bit too snug on my arms, which made them feel a bit tight at times. However, I believe that may be due to the fact that I probably should have sized up. So, please do be sure to accurately measure your arms per the sizing guide on the BUFF website.
Once I had them on though, I found them to feel okay overall. The thing about Florida is, it’s already so hot and humid here, and it didn’t take long for my arms to warm up. I do want to try a trick I heard a few other BibRave Pros doing, which was to get them ice cold with water and/or ice before or during their run or workout. My issue is that while I love to stay warm in cooler temps, once it gets warm outside, I tend to not want anything on my arms.
Please do check out some of my fellow Pros reviews of the BUFF Arm Sleeves. Many of them don’t run in such humid conditions, and the sleeves seem to work out quite well this time of year. I will be trying mine again in the Fall.
