Praying for Boston

On a day that is supposed to be filled with excitement and the fun of running, someone or some people have made it a day of tragedy. Two bombs went off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, injuring over 130 people and killing at least 3. This is such a sickening and horrid event that occurred and I cannot even fathom why anyone would do this.

All I can do, and you can do is band together as a community and pray for Boston. They need our prayers more than anything right now. My heart goes out to all those hurt and the families affected by this bombing.

Tomorrow, I will run for Boston. The running community will be coming together virtually to run. I am not the only one who feels like this horrific event is an attack not only on Boston, but the running community itself.

  1. Amen, Shannon! I’ll be wearing the Runners United to Remember bib tomorrow and all week, and I’ll hold in my heart those injured and killed and their families all 26.2 miles of the marathon I’m running next month.
