NYRR announced today via email some of the changes ahead for 2017. Specifically, changes in regards to lottery and entry fees for the 2017 TCS NYC Marathon and 2017 United Airline NYC Half. Per NYRR: Due to rising event expenses and the inclusion of processing and administrative costs associated with the non-guaranteed entry drawing and race registration process, the entry fees for the TCS New York City Marathon and United Airlines NYC Half will increase in 2017.
The United Airlines NYC Half will now be $130 for NYRR members and $145 for non-members. The TCS NYC Marathon will be $255 for NYRR members and $295 for non-members within the United States. Non-U.S. residents entry fee will be $358 for the 2017 event.
The application period for the United Airlines NYC Half opens on October 26, 2016, and closes on December 1, 2016. The drawing for the NYC Half is on December 8, 2016. The 2017 United Airlines NYC Half race day is March, 19, 2017.
The TCS NYC Marathon application period opens on January 17, 2017, closes on February 17, 2017. The big drawing is scheduled for March 2, 2017. And, the big dance, aka the 2017 TCS NYC Marathon will be held on November 5, 2017.
