Here we are, in the last two months of the year. I’m looking forward to the holidays, though, this year this aren’t like years past. All I can hope for is that this covid pandemic is over soon. With flu season upon us, who knows what the future brings… I choose to stay positive though, and believe better days are ahead.
1. The 100. I started watching the series on Netflix a couple of weeks ago after a recommendation from a friend. I’m now on season 5, and wow there’s lots of action happening! If you are unfamiliar with it, and you like sci-fi, this may be up your alley. It’s a post-apocalyptic science fiction drama that takes place after a nuclear Armageddon destroys civilization on Earth. The only survivors are those on 12 space stations in orbit, connected as one calling it the Ark. They send 100 juvenile prisoners back down to Earth 97 years later to find out if the planet is now able to sustain life. It’s quite action-packed and addicting.
2. Virtual races. 2020 has become the year of virtual racing. I’m hopeful though for a live, in-person race or two in December. Meanwhile, I have been doing some virtual races as a way to stay motivated in my training. I’ve done Scooby Doo 10k, Wonder Woman 10k, Hot Chocolate 15k, and most recently, the Marine Corps 10k. While nothing can take the greatness out of a real race, these virtual races have offered some great swag. The MCM 10k medal and swag just arrived a couple of days ago, and it’s so awesome. I love the long sleeve dri-fit shirt, medal and mask they sent. I hope to run that 10k in person one day, it’s now on my race bucket list.
3. Paparazzi Jewelry. My friend who I live with, Dianne became a Paparazzi Consultant three months ago. I’ve helping her on the back-end mostly with tech stuff and social media. Paparazzi is $5 jewelry, and it’s all lead and nickel-free. If you are looking for some nice jewelry for yourself, or for holiday gifts, check her out on Facebook. Her company’s name is Dianne’s Jazzy Jewelry. She goes live with new jewelry pieces on Monday nights at 7:30pm Eastern. You may even see me pop in from time to time to help on camera. 🙂
4. Half Marathon Training. My training has been going well, and I remain hopeful that OUC Orlando Half Marathon and Mount Dora Half Marathon take place next month. OUC is scheduled for December 5th, and Mount Dora for December 20th. I’m really looking forward to both races taking place in person. I haven’t run an actual race since March. You can still join me and run the 2020 Mount Dora Half Marathon. Use code BIBRAVE to save 10% off your registration.
Are you running any virtual races? Have you seen the TV show, The 100?
How are things going for you?
