Have you run a virtual race before? If not, you are truly missing out on a way to not only earn more bling (what runner doesn’t appreciate a good medal?), but running to benefit good causes. There are many virtual race options out there, but Jost Running came to my attention in the last few months. Now, I’m working with them to not only spread to love for running virtual races, but running for amazing causes.
Jost Running is a family business, run by a mother and daughter team. They believe in running, have a passion for getting out there whether it be walking or running. They created Jost Running as a fun, challenging project that allows them to come together to not only push your body into doing things like running a little faster, but in doing so, earn a medal in which you can proudly hang and look at everyday. Each medal is not only a symbol of what you have accomplished, but a special charity that you helped in the process of doing what you love.
I ran my first Jost virtual race last month and earned the Brave New Route 5k medal. I enjoyed a run with my running group one morning while earning a beautiful medal. That race benefited the ALS Association School. It was a great experience and I can’t wait to run at least two more Jost Running virtual races in the month of June.
June races benefit the National Young Arts Foundation and the theme is Crank It Up. You can run a 5k, 10k, half marathon or marathon distance. Not only can you run four different distances, but you can do them as many times as you’d like! Registration for the race is $25 (5k or 10k) and $35 (half or full marathon). Sign up today and start running this week or weekend!
