Earlier today, I had an opportunity to briefly speak with Marie Pearl, who was just eliminated from The Biggest Loser this week. Marie made it through 13 weeks on the show and left looking amazing on the outside and a changed woman on the inside.
Marie states that starting a family has always been on her mind, and remains at the forefront to this day. But, with the big Finale around the corner, she is focused on finishing the journey she began on the Ranch. She says that she has been fortunate enough to have time off from work to concentrate on her health and fitness, “giving it everything I’ve got.” Marie works out 3-4 hours a day at home which includes boot camp and various types of cardio exercises. She is also ensuring that she makes good choices when it comes to food.
Her immediate future beyond the upcoming Finale is trying to figure out “what the new Marie will be.” She states that she is working to get her spinning instructor certification. Marie wants to get an organized routine in place post-Finale and spending time with family and friends is very important to her. She says that being on the Biggest Loser was a blessing for not just her, but her entire family. Her husband lost 50lbs while Marie was on the Ranch.
When asked if there was one defining moment for her on the Ranch, Marie says that there were many of them. “The biggest was learning I had to be mentally strong first,” Marie states. She had to learn that she is so much stronger than she ever thought she was and that there is “nothing I can’t do.” Marie is no longer letting that ‘I can’t’ attitude hold her back in life.
It’s so cool that you had the chance to interview these ladies! Loved Marie too! And her hair turned out so cute! 🙂
