The Girl's Got Sole - Birthday Month

April is my birthday month. Normally, I don’t think about the entire month this much, but since I’m hitting a new landmark age, it’s been on my mind. So hard to believe that I’ll be 40 in 7 days… yicks!

Where did the time go? I cannot believe that I’ve been around this long. LOL! I most definitely don’t feel like I’m almost 40 years old, that’s for sure. Being more fit and healthy through losing weight a few years ago and being a runner going on 7 years helps I think. Running makes you feel more alive and younger in my opinion. 🙂

The only thing that I haven’t found through the years as of yet is love. Never thought I’d still be single at this age. But, God hasn’t showed me the right man just yet. I admit, I have asked Him how much longer I have to be patient, because hey, that 4-0 is right around the corner now! I trust in the Lord to know what He’s doing and I believe that He has kept me away from those ‘not so good ones.’

Besides finding love, what am I wishing for? Well, I never tend to get much for my birthday, and that’s okay. For me, it’s all about family, friends and the memories created with those you love. My running group is going to take me out in a couple of weeks for dinner, and I am very much looking forward to an evening with these “sole mates.” I’ve run so many miles with these girls and I have so much love and respect for each and every one of them.

If I had a birthday wish list though, it would have a few things I’ve had my eye on. Biggest of which is a 261 Fearless Friend membership. Running the 2017 NYC Marathon with Team 261 Fearless last November was so special, and I really want to maintain a connection with the 261 Fearless family. The membership gives you access to the 261 Fearless community, and with the 261 Fearless Ambassador program gone, I miss that so very much.

Otherwise, I tend to look at running stuff (ha, what a surprise, right?) mostly. I love just about anything NYC after running that marathon twice, and of course Skirt Sports everything. I do have an Amazon wish list too, because you never know when someone might want to send a surprise (hey, a girl can dream, right? LOL).

How about you, is this a big birthday year for you? How do you usually celebrate?
