I’m going to start a new weekly posting about my plans for the week. I wanted to call it something creative, and since I’m such a fan of Back to the Future, I decided to incorporate that into what I’m going to be calling the post. So, here is week one of ‘Ahead to the Future.’
I started off the week yesterday great. I went to church and enjoyed the annual Women’s Day event with some great ladies. It was a great service and I loved the social aspect of the morning. Definitely an awesome way to begin the week. After church, I did a few errands and then headed home for a late lunch. By 5pm, I was ready to head out the door for a much needed run. Since I took Saturday off from my running, I was anxious to lace up my shoes and hit the road. I did just under 5 miles and felt awesome for it.
This morning, I awoke feeling a bit more rested than I usually tend to feel these days which is a plus. The workday felt a bit slow going, but I didn’t feel run-down or exhausted like I usually do these days. After work, I put on some workout clothes and headed down to the gym. I got in 6 miles on the bike before I started to feel a bit faint and light-headed. Not sure what the deal was with that, so I called it a night and left the gym. I had a protein shake waiting in the car, so that helped me feel better. I think maybe I had low blood sugar or was a bit dehydrated, not sure. I have upped my H2O intake, so I’m not sure it was that.
Here’s what the rest of the week is looking like workout-wise:
Tuesday – Morning group run
Wednesday – Gym workout/dvd workout
Thursday – Track run
Friday – Bike ride or gym workout
Saturday – Group run/5k color me rad run
On Saturday, I’ve got the Color Me Rad 5k, but also plan on doing some running before the race since my wave isn’t until 9am. My training group has an unofficial half marathon or less “race” going on starting at 5am, so I’m going to put in some miles before I head over to the Color Me Rad 5k. Then, I’ve got a self-defense class at 2pm in the afternoon.
