You’ve been reading about my 2nd year running the 26.2 with Donna race weekend next month, and how I’m fundraising for this cause. What I wanted to do now is share some stories with you. These are real stories from individuals affected by breast cancer and whom your donation goes to assist all year-long.
I am thankful for my mom. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and in a month it seems like our lives have changed. She has undergone 2 surgeries and keeps her faith and her strength strong. She is receiving the best care ever at Mayo Clinic and I could not ask for more. I am thankful my mom has been able to get her mammograms every year because that is what saved her life. –Bonetti
Thank you all for all that you have done to help me and my family. You greatly lifted financial burdens off of me while I continued to battle breast cancer. I just want you all to know that I am forever grateful for all that you have done for me. I thank God for you all every day! –Ivory
I want to thank you for helping me in my time of need. Your Foundation is a true blessing. You have been a big support. As I continue to go through my trials and tribulations, I will never forget the help that I received from you. Thank you so much! –Sandy
I am a cancer patient with 3 young children. I needed chemotherapy and radiation to battle the recurrence. During treatment, my husband’s employment was terminated. Without financial relief, my family would not make it. The Donna Foundation helped us by paying our mortgages, preschool, and medical bills for a month. What this gave us was time, the most precious gift of all. Our family is so grateful to this much needed charity. –Christine
Those are just a few of the stories and testimonials of people whom the 26.2 with Donna has helped. If you can donate anything to help out these women and their families, even as little as one dollar, it is appreciated. 100% of your donation goes to help these people (70% to Mayo Clinic research, 30% to the Donna Foundation). Thank you.
